The ChildServe Ambassadors raised over $3,000 to ensure each child and teen living at one of our 16 group homes received a surprise gift in December 2020.

ChildServe recently gained a new group of supporters dedicated to moving forward together with the children and families we serve. As a committee of the Board of Trustees, the ChildServe Ambassadors work to promote the organization and support the Foundation.

For one of their first projects, the ambassadors launched an initiative to raise money to help provide Christmas presents for the children living in ChildServe homes.

“Their efforts raised over $3,000 to bring holiday fun and special memories to the kids we serve,” said Sarah Mowery, ChildServe Director of Development. “This type of mission-driven support is the first of many ways the ChildServe Ambassadors will share their time and talents to positively impact kids and families.”

Along with making and requesting donations, the ChildServe Ambassadors provide support to ChildServe’s board; volunteer at fundraising events; and perform important work related to advocacy, community awareness and building engagement. With visitor restrictions in place due to COVID-19, the group has been hard at work sharing a Virtual Tour opportunity with friends, family and coworkers.

Kids like Dalton received a surprise gift this Christmas thanks to the ChildServe Ambassadors.

For Jon Phillips, Auditor at Wells Fargo, becoming Chair of the ChildServe Ambassadors Committee provided a variety of ways to make a difference.

“Joining a motivated group of like-minded individuals to assist with expanding the reach and support of ChildServe was something I wanted to be a part of,” said Jon. “Our goals as a group include working to increase the promotion of ChildServe, specifically the homes, through tours, volunteerism, and fundraising. Our group believes in the mission of ChildServe and appreciates the opportunity to promote it on a daily basis.”
